ConEdison Specialist, Corporate Security - Security Operations Center (SOC) in New York, New York

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' work experience or

  • Associate's Degree and 4 years' work experience or

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' work experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point and Excel, required.

  • Prior outside experience in Law Enforcement, Fire Department or Emergency Services a plus.

  • Experience working in a radio room/dispatch environment a plus.

  • Proven experience in a security operations role, preferably in a supervisory capacity, required.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various levels of management and personnel, required.

  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and handle changing priorities, required.

  • Experience with security systems, CCTV operations, and alarm monitoring, required.

  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, Monday through Friday, and be available to work on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week as required.

Licenses And Certfications

  • Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.

  • Must work the assigned shift.

  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.

  • Must be available to be on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week.

  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
