What you will be doing
We are looking to hire a top-class Senior Software Engineer to help us on our journey. You need to have experience in designing and building highly scalable, loosely coupled, event driven, distributed systems. You need to be an expert in Java, functional programming and have built systems using Kafka on premise or in the cloud. You should be capable of leading by example across all functions of the team including agile process adoption, software development, testing, TDD/BDD, DevOps & cloud. You will Guide the team on our journey towards
- Adoption of Agile process and practices
- Fostering an engineering mindset within the team
- Adoption of DevOps best practices, tools and technologies
What you bring:
- Currently a hands-on software Engineer
- Demonstrated accountability for a production service having contributed to that service build
- Leading change in technical teams
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent knowledge about Control-M v9 architecture, Job Scheduling, Administrator activities and JSON
- Python, YAML, Jenkins
- Experience of setting up Control M as Code
- Knowledgeable of decoupling a Control M monolith
- Extensive hands-on experience in server/agent installations, monitoring, job flow analysis and troubleshooting, job failure resolution, schedule modification, documentation and procedures required for future reference
- Expertise in utilizing all Control-M Components: GUI, GCS, CCM, Administrative utility tools, History, Forecast, Reporting Facility, Workload Change Manager and Selfcare
- Extensive hands-on experience with Control-M batch development skills - Build and validate
- Administration of Control-M users via Control-M Security and LDAP
- Certifications in BMC Certified Associate (v9.x) Red Hat Certification (optional)
- Experience of refactoring from Control M to open source/cloud native scheduling nice to have
- Apache Airflow, Argo or Conductor experience nice to have
