Amazon Social Operations Manager, AWS Social Media Team in New York, New York

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Seattle, a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in cloud computing, is seeking a talented social media operations manager.

In this role you will have strong project management skills and be responsible for the social operations and administration of the tools, processes, and platforms utilized by the AWS Social Media team. You will be responsible for the administration of the AWS Social Media team’s tools and social platforms including the AWS Sprinklr environment, supporting user requests, creating and implementing end user training, and the administration of the AWS brand social media account portfolio. You’ll work across the WW Marketing organization to develop and implement social operating processes and procedures that raise the bar and build best-in-class social marketing motions. You will manage critical AWS social media tools and processes including internal training and support, employee use of social media, and publishing tools.

Ideal candidates must have an incredibly strong understanding of the social media landscape, experience administering brand accounts on social platforms (e.g., Meta Business Manager and/or LinkedIn Business Manager), strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management skills, the ability to influence others, and strong cross-functional leadership. This role requires an individual who can simultaneously dive deep into the day-to-day issues of our global social media properties and at the same time think big about the social media industry and emerging platforms and trends.

The Social Media Operations Manager will partner across all tools and operational processes than support the Global Social Media program including:

  • The administration of the AWS Sprinklr environment and supporting all active users.

  • The support and execution of live activations on social platforms including live streams and live audio.

  • Own functional/operational social media support tickets, requests, escalations, etc. from AWS social media users.

  • The administration of the AWS brand social media account portfolio across existing and emerging social platforms.

  • Define and maintain organizational best practices and standard operating procedures.

  • Develop operational processes and the delivery of associated documentation to all end users across the organization.

  • Explore new and emerging social platforms for further expansion of the AWS footprint at scale.

  • Develop and host training for employees on social media and AWS Brand standards.

  • Partner with internal teams including AppSec and InfoSec to ensure operational rigor and security compliance across all social media marketing motions.

  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple social media projects and campaigns using project management tools, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.

  • Develop reporting mechanisms with project management tools to manage project timelines, SLAs, resource allocation, and budgets for social media initiatives.

  • Identify and implement process improvements with project management tools to streamline social media operations and enhance efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns

  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-territory campaign management

  • Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
