The Kroll Digital Solutions Private Capital Markets Team (PCM) develops innovative platform and application software for private markets. This enables our clients to stay atop marketplaces, analyze their investments, hedge their risks, and gain new insights into planned or existing holdings. We are growing our technology team with engineers and quantitative developers who have solid knowledge of complex web systems, know how to structure programs and interfaces in the face of complexity, communicate well, can work on multiple projects simultaneously, and enjoy interacting with technical and financial people.

This position is available as remote within the continental US and Canada or for in-office work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with an experienced team to take multiple new applications from conception to either internal or client-facing deployment.
  • Program new web user interfaces in TypeScript with React and Redux for data-centric applications in collaboration with domain experts; develop and test UI/UX tailored to potential client needs.
  • Implement front-end logic and interface with backend developers to support authentication processes, data page loading, synchronization and efficient data transfer to back-end.
  • Use secure techniques to maintain data confidentiality and integrity.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • The following are required from a successful candidate for this position:
  • Minimum 3 years of professional programming experience (UX Workflow and graphic design is a plus)
  • BS or MS in an applicable field
  • Commercial Single Page Application development experience
  • Ability to translate specifications into understandable visual representations (wireframes or POCs)
  • Hands-on, in-house engineering (product development) background, not IT or consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to program complex systems (through samples provided)

Furthermore, the following would be beneficial for this role:
  • Web Development and Programming Skills
    • Familiarity with Effective UI/UX Design and A/B Testing
    • React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, #, SQL
    • GitHub, Azure Dev Ops, MS Visual Studio Code
    • Familiarity with MS SQL databases
    • Object-oriented library development, management, and publishing
    • Data visualization experience
    • Ability to abstract and document code
    • Experience using git for version control, e.g. using; Azure DevOps
  • Experience building financial applications

The current salary range for this position is $90, 000 - $150, 000.
