Gemini Space Station Senior Software Engineers in New York, New York
Job Duties: Maintain, drive, and help refactor core systems to prepare them to scale. Develop features and improvements to the Nifty product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way that allows the platform to adapt and grow. Understand core business objectives, then ideate and implement new features that will help to achieve exciting goals to grow our customer base. Troubleshoot technical issues by leveraging a deep understanding of the systems and experience with technologies Gemini leverages. Work collaboratively with other team members to build greenfield portions of the app, as well as existing areas of the app. Help define and improve internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review. Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers. Develop and maintain back end functionality in collaboration with product, marketing and business teams.Position based at headquarters and may be assigned to unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. as determined by management. Telecommuting permitted.Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent), and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, software engineering, or related occupation.Special Requirements: Position requires experience with each of the following skills:1.Using Python (Django/Celery) apps at scale.2.Designing and implementing architecture.3.Troubleshooting technical issues.4.Understanding of blockchain technology, including the Ethereum blockchain and smart contracts.Employment and background checks may be required.
Minimum Salary: 200,000 Maximum Salary: 220,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
