This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2-3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.

ABOUT TEAM The Core Systems Solutions team at Parametric:

*Primarily focuses on developing highly resilient and scalable core data services on AWS cloud providing unified API interface across business domains. *Leverage NoSql database, Spring Boot, Java, Python, React and AWS native applications such as S3, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS/EKS for Docker container orchestration, ElastiCache, DynamoDB etc. **Additional area of focus is to build and manage platform event message hub on Confluent Kafka Cloud and AWS MSK.

ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for design, development, and integration of various new and existing technology solutions that supports various aspects of our Investment management processes.

As part of the core services team, the senior software engineer will be responsible for the design/architecture and implementation of various cloud native micro services primarily focused on AWS based infrastructure and tooling. Additionally, internally within the team, the role would allow opportunities to work in the areas of front end development using React/Graphql, NoSql database like Redis and messaging hub like Apache Kafka.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide flexible solutions to complex business problems using our technology practices - Design and develop cloud native (AWS) micro-services with primary focus on correctness and performance Integrate with other services in the ecosystem or public API's and databases - Apply best in class engineering principles, optimized algorithms and data structure techniques - Design and develop interactive web-based user interfaces - Create unit/integration/functional tests - Conduct code reviews of other developers and participate in git merge reviews - Follow technology trends/tools and recommend improvements to our technology when appropriate - Mentor new or junior developers

JOB REQUIREMENTS - 5 years of hands-on Java experience - Understanding of micro-services architecture/containerization - Proven experience with test driven development - Familiarity with GIT version control system - Working experience with agile development - Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools like Maven or Gradle - Hands-on experience with RDBMS and/or NoSql databases like MondoDB/DynamoDB/Redis - Effective communication skills with business users and other developers. - Knowledge of cloud services like AWS/Azure is a plus - Experience with Javascript/React development is a plus - Multi-threading programming is a plus - Experience with programming languages like C/C on Linux environment is a plus - Knowledge of distributed systems like Apache Cassandra is a plus - Financial services experience is a plus

Salary range for the position: $110,000 - $225,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
