Reaktor Inc. Senior Software Developer in New York, New York
Title: Senior Software DeveloperLocation: New York, NY Duties: Oversee, manage and implement multifaceted software development projects for U.S. clients. Maintain and develop frontend- and backend software projects and native Android applications with Kotlin and Java, React Native applications with Typescript. Build integrations with internal and third-party APIs. Create user-facing websites using HTML, CSS and Javascript. Build backend services and APIs using Javascript or Typescript. Provide expert technical guidance on projects relating to in-flight entertainment, digital imaging, small satellite, and video streaming technologies. Provide domain insight into projects relating to entertainment and news media. Deploy large, complex interactive applications for new and existing clients. Oversee technical project delivery and project management and responsible for strategic planning and developing engineering team practices to ensure client deliverables are on time and on track. Lead client-facing meetings on development projects with emerging applications. Train and coach client on use and execution of software implemented by Reaktor. Work with clients to determine their business objectives and develop a software development strategy to meet those objectives. Review each client’s portfolio and needs to determine the optimal software enhancement that they will require.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field, plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or a related occupation, including 3 years of experience with: Software engineering including Project Management, requirements gathering and analysis, architecture design, development and implementation, testing and support; Software development using web technologies including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, SQL, as well as network technologies; Software development using mobile technologies including Android, Java, Kotlin, React Native, and Expo; Managing deployment of mobile apps using Apple and Google services; Software development for satellite and aerospace applications, including in-flight entertainment systems; and Agile software development, including performing the roles of a Certified Scrum Master, coaching junior software developers in applying agile methodologies.
