Position Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Project Manager.

Together Growing Strong (TGS) is an initiative within The Department of Population Health in the NYU Grossman School of Medicine that aims to strengthen early
childhood health and wellbeing by supporting families, providers, and educators in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The initiative uses an anti-racist approach and centers community voice in planning and decision-making. TGS includes the adaptation, implementation and integration of evidence-based interventions, as well as systems-level work, meant to enhance structural equity. The initiative is led by a core team of senior faculty in the NYU Grossman School of Medicine as well as the Vice President for Community programming in the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone Brooklyn.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee our programmatic work, and design and implement an approach to harmonize data collection efforts and synthesize learnings across programs. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for working with staff and participants across NYU Langone Health departments and in the community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Work with program leads to coordinate the planning integration and implementation of existing TGS programs which include evidence based/informed programs e g PlayReadVIP ParentCorps ROSE Vroom and newly developed programs e g texting/WeChat groups workshops/webinars ;
  • Assist with the development of reports and other materials
  • Data Collection and Management:
  • Design and implement a data system across programs to:
  • Support the implementation of new data collection;
  • document and harmonize existing data collection activities;
  • synthesize data and share learnings with diverse stakeholders
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise staff lead team meetings and foster a collaborative working environment;
  • Consider ways to expand our offerings and reach within the cultural context of Sunset Park
  • Participate in TGS leadership meetings and consult with the Director on relevant issues
  • Collaboration and Engagement:
  • Oversee TGS community engagement strategies including enhancing mechanisms to continually include community voice in planning and decision making;
  • Build relationships with Community Based Organization health care and school leaders and identify opportunities to align with other community engagement initiatives in Sunset Park;
  • Review current strategies for engaging community and including community voice in planning and lead a team of TGS staff to align deepen and potentially expand that work
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning
  • Other:
  • Participate in team meetings and supervision;
  • Complete other activities as requested

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Master's degree in public health public administration research or related field plus 7 years of experience. Superb written communication skills required with exceptional ability to write for both academic and lay audiences. Advanced PowerPoint and visual data display skills a plus Skilled systems oriented thinker with demonstrated outstanding analytic capabilities able to evaluate and summarize a wide range of information from diverse fields and sources. Proven ability to multitask meet tight deadlines and to work in a fast paced environment both independently and as part of a team. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and to work and communicate effectively with both internal and external collaborators and partners.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Public Health Administration Public Health Psychology or related fields Candidates with a Masters degree are encouraged to apply Previous experience creating data systems harmonizing data collection and/or synthesizing findings from different studies Effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills Ability to identify analyze and solve problems think innovatively and support new ideas Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Word Excel and PowerPoint Detail oriented conscientious with strong organizational skills Ability to multi task and strong time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a large team Preferred Expertise in implementation science and/or evaluation analytic techniques Previous experience engaging with different cultures and community groups and including community voice in decision making processes Previous experience with and continued interest in working with children and families Fluency in English and either Spanish or Mandarin

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $143,325.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
