Neuberger Berman Senior Project Manager II in New York, New York
We are looking for a senior-level, self-directed business manager with deep knowledge of the financial asset management business. The business manager will support the CBT (Chief Business Technologist) of Finance, Human Capital, and Client Data Technologies in all aspects of business operations and strategic initiatives including managing the book of work, developing and enforcing governance, managing budgets and collaborating with Senior Leadership.
Responsibilities:
Strategy
Play a key role in creating strategic documents that support an effective and repeatable technology planning process
Drive the budget process, ensuring partners’ projects have a business case, identified benefits and the team has provided related costs for an ROI
Support team leads in planning out their projects and resources
Formalize governance with key stakeholders for prioritization of projects
Financial Management
Oversee Budget, Forecast and Actuals for the team
Partner closely with Technology Leadership and the Finance to provide necessary inputs and reports
Identify cost optimization opportunities
Leadership
Set the agenda for team meetings; ensure focus on operational items, e.g., budget, evergreen, training, etc.
Cultivate a team environment that values collaboration and high performance
Mentor team members to improve their skills and advance their careers
Champion the team by showcasing their achievements and sharing their successes
Project Management
Develop common project reporting for the team
Ensure team is following the project governance framework
Partner with Project Management Office, fostering bi-directional feedback
Lead projects as needed
Qualifications:
Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and have the flexibility to adapt to changing processes and timelines
Independent judgment, strong critical thinking, creative problem solving, and timely and sound decision-making skills
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and influence audiences
Ten years of experience as a technology business manager
Financial Services experience, preferably Asset Management
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $135,000-$175,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
