Northwell Health Senior Occupational Therapist in New York, New York

Job Responsibility

  • Administers direct patient care in accordance with the written and signed prescription of the referring physician or other state authorized practitioner.

  • Guides clinical rehabilitation staff.

  • Orientates Therapists to designed rotation, providing instruction regarding treatment protocols and use of equipment.

  • Makes periodic inspections of equipment, identifies equipment malfunctions and initiates repairs by contacting appropriate service departments.

  • Submits required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department.

  • Assists with program development and quality improvement.

  • Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and activities.

  • Serves as a liaison between the department and team members.

  • Provides treatment to more complex assignments.

Job Qualification

  • Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • Current License to practice as a Registered Occupational Therapist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $85,090-$147,220/year
