Global Merchant Services (GMS) is the merchant acquirer, processor, and marketing partner for the millions of merchants around the world who accept American Express Cards.

The incumbent is part of the Global Coverage Reporting, Insights & Merchant Experience organization and will support the Merchant Acquisition (Sales) team in the Americas with analytics, insights, and reporting. This position will be responsible for performing analytical deep dives to help Sales Managers and Leaders understand merchant performance and underlying issues. Additionally, this position will manage business critical annual processes, and support senior leaders in making analytically driven strategy decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity to drive performance management efforts, build and leverage strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners to evolve Merchant Acquisition reporting and to develop new and insightful analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead annual processes such as forecasting, planning, target setting and monitor salesforce performance through reporting.

  • Use diverse analytical, problem solving and reporting skills to measure and analyze performance & adherence of Merchant Acquisition sales team to policies.

  • Proactively consult with key stakeholders to develop strategies, measurement and analysis methodologies and applications to evaluate the effectiveness of new strategies and tactics.

  • Undertake in-depth analysis of key business performance metrics, highlighting trends and identifying implications and opportunities for the business.

  • Partner and align with various stakeholders, business partners and teams including Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) Merchant Acquisition sales leadership team, pricing, operational excellence, risk etc.

  • Manage relationship with an analytics and reporting COE based in India.

  • Build and leverage strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and understand complex processes, provide meaningful insights, and deliver relevant analyses across complex and dynamic business

  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills with customer centric focused.

  • Demonstrated project management ability.

  • Proven ability to influence others without direct authority within a matrix organization.

  • Ability to think strategically and bold, work independently and challenge the status quo

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

  • Working Experience with Tableau and SQL is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
