The Managed Care Contracting Team within MSHP is responsible for the negotiation, implementation and contract compliance related to Facility Contracts for all Commercial, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Managed Care Plans. The team serves as MSHP’s subject matter experts on: Facility related Agreements and Amendments, financial performance for all contracts, and facility, ancillary related contract negotiations. The Managed Care Team is at the forefront of implementing Facility and Ancillary Contracts across the Mount Sinai Health System.

MSHP seeks a Contract Performance Analyst to analyze value-based performance and identify improvement opportunities that have substantive impact to outcomes and financial performance for all value-based Commercial and Medicare Contracts with Mount Sinai. The Contract Performance Analyst will be a liaison between Contracting, Population Health, Clinical Documentation and Quality Improvement, Care Management and other key matrix partners to ensure identified opportunities are realized.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

? HS/GED; Bachelors strongly preferred. Additional experience needed in addition to ?experience requirements? listed below in lieu of education.

? At least seven years of experience in healthcare analytics required (with a Bachelors degree).

? Health plan experience in Medical Economics or Value Based Payments preferred.

Additional Skills and Qualities

? Proficient in business applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint and business intelligence applications (e.g., Tableau).

? Experience analyzing Facility, Professional and Pharmacy cost trends preferred.

? Familiarity with amendments between payers and providers preferred.

? Firm understanding of Facility, Professional and Pharmacy claim reimbursement preferred.

? Verbal presentation experience, especially with senior management, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement risk mitigation and/or opportunity seizing solutions to drive performance for value-based contracts for Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid and Commercial arrangements.

• Support the development of strategies and alternatives for improving and optimizing performance collaborating with key stakeholders inclusive of Managed Care Contracting, Population Health leadership, Clinical Documentation and Quality Improvement, Care Management, Product Development and Patient Engagement.

• Partner with Analytics to develop and implement internal scorecards depicting key performance metrics and outcomes related to key initiatives.

• Develop and track action plans needed to measure progress against risks and opportunities that can be used to manage matrix partners and ensure key milestones are achieved.

• Perform market research to collect key industry data points related to value based care identifying emerging trends to be aggregated and shared with leadership team to advise decision-making and planning.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external healthcare payers.

• Run governance structure to engage and inform all key internal stakeholders on VBC performance, identified risks and opportunities and progress to realize opportunities and mitigate risks.

• Actively participate and provide reporting and follow ups at monthly Clinical and quarterly Performance Joint Oversight Meetings with Healthplans

• Provide minutes and document necessary next steps for all Joint Oversight Meetings with Health Plans

• Develop models to assess and value new opportunities and risks.

• Assist with or leads special projects and provides analytical support.

Compensation Statement

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $96461 - $144692 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
