Oura Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in New York, New York

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team in North America. You will organize requirements, profile data across source systems, provide platform support, and evolve existing Business Intelligence workflows. You will also provide guidance to cross-functional team members on best practices related to data visualization, reporting and analysis.

What You Will Do

  • Lead analytics projects to help us better understand our customer base and business activity

  • Coordinate and nurture best-in-class data visualizations and reporting in Tableau that convey meaningful insights to business stakeholders across the organization

  • Leverage your skills and experience in SQL to wrangle, transform, and optimize data housed in Oura’s data warehouse (Snowflake), to help us evolve and better-utilize our business data

  • Closely collaborate with source systems teams to ensure data accuracy, correct data modeling, and clear data lineage

  • Work closely with Data Engineering and Data Science to build, test, deploy and maintain BI deliverables

  • Help foster a data-driven culture with outreach, training and documentation for our current and future BI tools to drive adoption

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a role focused on data analytics and/or business intelligence

  • Fluent in SQL with experience writing complex queries for data extraction, manipulation and visualization as well as building data infrastructure.

  • Expertise in the principles of data visualization to simplify the communication of complex data and drive insights

  • Extensive experience developing, administering and managing reporting and dashboards with modern BI tools, with strong expertise in Tableau Cloud

  • Familiarity with data modeling and transformation, particularly with dbt

  • Proven experience multitasking and managing multiple projects in partnership with non-technical stakeholders

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization, to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Specific experience with Snowflake and cloud-native BI architectures

  • Familiarity with any of the following a plus: dbt, Github, NetSuite, data governance, Python, FiveTran, AWS, Segment, Amplitude

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable, and highly collaborative work environment spread across the globe

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates’ pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 1: $143,000 - $162,000

  • Region 2: $136,000 - $152,000

  • Region 3: $130,000- $144,000
