Uber Senior Associate, Corporate Development in New York, New York

We work hand-in-hand with leaders across the company to ensure smooth, disciplined execution of strategic business objectives. Specifically, you will help lead Uber's M&A efforts and serve as the primary interface to many internal and external leaders.

We are looking for someone to help ensure Uber achieves the anticipated value of its M&A activity through integration. You will partner with business leaders on some of the most interesting and high impact initiatives at Uber. We are looking for someone who can be a strategic thought-partner for the business, but also get into the weeds on specific issues.

You will serve as a key Uber Corporate Development team member, supporting our inorganic efforts across all business lines globally. You will join a dynamic team that has a major impact on the direction of the company as well as senior leadership!

What you'll do

  • Develop Uber's M&A and investments strategy and identify transaction opportunities in connection with business leadership across Mobility, Delivery, and Freight.

  • Support the entirety of the M&A process including strategy, sourcing, diligence, negotiation, and execution.

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess company valuation and synergy opportunities.

  • Prepare and give business reviews to Uber's executive leadership team regarding progress and roadblocks.

  • Support public and private market capital-raising transactions.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, negotiating deliverables and coordinating integration efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years (4) years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, corporate development or relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to combine business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals.

  • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in an exciting, fast-paced environment, collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to get the job done.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative with business leaders and cross-functional partners, and a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.

  • Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.

  • Excellent business judgment and great communication skills.

  • Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$126,000 per year - USD$140,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$126,000 per year - USD$140,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
