Paramount Senior Analyst, Production Finance in New York, New York

Overview and Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will be an important member of the Paramount Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios Production Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and will interact with many different groups within the organization. As part of an aligned FP&A team, this person will assist in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Production cash & development forecasts and budgets, tracking risks & opportunities, and using analysis to assist in driving informed decision-making with key performance indicators. This position offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity within a successful and growing global media organization. It will provide wide ranging exposure to the evolving interactive content industry while working within the broader media umbrella of Paramount.

Responsibilities Include:

Maintain & communicate the Production finance Calendar.

Maintain the Programming Cash, Development & EFC Summary files.

Work with the production finance leads to understand & analyze forecast variances.

Prepare reconciliations and variance analyses of forecast/budget to actual results for Programming cash and Development.

Work on Programming cash & Development management, risk analysis and mitigation.

Forecast & manage HQ cost centers.

Ad hoc requests and analyses.

Basic Qualifications

4+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or equivalent quantitative roles

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training required (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics)

Additional Qualifications

Strong analytical skills, with an ability to understand and articulate financial data

High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Strong work ethic, accuracy, and attention to detail

Strong teammate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with Longview & SAP a plus

Proactive self-starter

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing industry and organizational landscape

Complete goals and deadlines

Influence and effectively communicate with others to drive work forward

Design, apply, and interpret robust analytical solutions to support decisions

Positively contribute to a culture of people development and learning

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $78,000.00 - 92,500.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
