The Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Global Strategy & Capabilities (GS&C) team’s mission is to deliver a best-in-class premium merchant member experience that will get merchants to not only accept American Express, but also to welcome and recommend us openly to their customers. The Global Coverage Insights team (within GS&C) delivers strategic coverage insights and content to support these critical priorities, and it is imperative that the team’s work balances the need for controls and risk mitigation with the need to deliver clear insights and content that drives decision making/business impact.
A successful Senior Analyst candidate will play a key role in elevating our operational excellence culture and enable business processes that reflect a consistent commitment to critical privacy and risk requirements. They will be responsible for managing key activities and processes that support important strategic research studies with high leadership visibility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, process and controls management for coverage research studies, budget/purchase order management, internal compliance reviews/approvals, and coverage data sharing and disclosure policy. There will also be opportunities to contribute to cross-team strategic analyses and projects that focus on GS&C and Enterprise priorities.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA) activities across the global coverage insights team to ensure adherence to risk and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to action process governance requirements. Contribute to continual process improvement or re-engineering operational activities to increase agility and efficiency.
Oversee coverage data disclosure policy and approvals for coverage-related data and collateral.
Manage team budget creation, reporting, and related finance activities.
Oversee purchase order creation and invoice reconciliation for projects with external research vendors.
Contribute to strategic projects that help our stakeholders accelerate growth and drive enterprise KPIs.
Contribute to cross-team projects that support shared goals across the GS&C organization.
Qualifications:
Exceptional skill in project management, process organization, and attention to detail. Skill in driving results against aggressive timelines, managing multiple priorities, and executing flawlessly.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work with team members across different functions, levels, and geographies.
A self-starter with an ability to excel in a dynamic, ever-changing, or ambiguous environment as required. Strong mix of analytical and critical thinking skills to implement impactful solutions.
Skill working with, analyzing, and summarizing data to develop clear conclusions and recommendations.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
