  • Job Description: We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and creative Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Content Marketing Specialist to join a newly-formed team focused on advancing our growth and reputation in online education.This role will be supported by the guidance and expertise of the Associate Director of SEO & Digital Strategy, giving the candidate many opportunities to learn the ins and outs of SEO and grow their skillset. The candidate will play a pivotal part in helping various schools attract prospective students to their online degree programs and drive enrollment.We’re looking for a bright, ambitious, and diligent person who loves attracting, educating, converting, and delighting online audiences into raving advocates. Responsibilities Under the guidance of the Associate Director of SEO & Digital Strategy, the candidate will:Perform SEO and content audits of various school and online degree program websites and produce reports with actionable optimization recommendations.

  • Conduct audience, keyword, and competitor research and use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for optimizing existing content and creating new content.

  • Collaborate with the Online Education Marketing team and other online program teams to create high-quality content that’s optimized for search engines and target audiences so that it attracts, educates, and converts prospective students into enrolled students.

  • Work with the Online Education Marketing team and other online program teams to pitch content and key leaders to writers at relevant and authoritative websites and podcasts that reach our target audiences.

  • Track, report on, and analyze SEO and content marketing performance.

  • Identify opportunities for improving SEO and content marketing performance and propose new opportunities to pursue.

  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and trends in SEO, content marketing, higher education, and competitor marketing strategies.

Preferred Experience:

1 year of SEO and/or content marketing experience, preferably in higher education, the not-for-profit sector, at an Online Program Management company, or at a marketing agency

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities:

  • Foundational understanding of SEO and content marketing

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, Google Slides or PowerPoint, and other SEO and content marketing tools.

  • Foundational knowledge of content management systems, HTML, analytics, tracking, and reporting

  • Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to analyze, process, organize, and report on large amounts of complex information from various sources and distill the information into actionable, easy-to-understand insights.

  • Enthusiastic about contributing to the ever-expanding evolution of online education
