What you will be doing:
Responsible for conducting daily inspections of all areas cleaned by the Housekeeping Department including the guest rooms and public areas. Records all relevant information on the Housekeeping Inspection Report.
Responsible for distributing to the Room Attendants any new items that are to be stocked in the guest rooms.
Responsible for notifying the Maintenance Department of any necessary repairs or maintenance work via the completion of maintenance work orders or verbal communication.
Responsible assisting Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in conducting room attendant training to improve weak areas reflected in the individual's performance evaluations.
Responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in completing room assignments for the Guest Room Attendants from the Housekeeping Report.
Responsible for serving as the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in their absence for days off, sick, vacation or other.
Responsible for assisting in cleaning rooms or public areas and performing laundry functions as workload may require.
Responsible for wear appropriate uniform and maintain personal cleanliness.
Responsible for performing "other" duties as assigned by management.
What is required:
Must have the ability to communicate in English.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Can communicate well with guests.
Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach to assist other staff members, i.e., room attendants, housepersons, and inspectors to complete their individual tasks if situation demands.
For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
