Recruitment and Training Assistant

Summary

The recruitment and training assistant is responsible for Animal Care Centers of NYC’S most important asset – it’s people. You’ll play an integral role in developing a comprehensive recruitment strategy for the organization and be responsible for finding top talent and assist with training them once they have joined Team ACC! With our new Queens Care Center scheduled to open this summer, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the future of ACC.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage applicant tracking software and ensure required information is being entered correctly into the system and kept up to date by following up with hiring managers

  • Manage accounts on all sites we post jobs I.e., LinkedIn, Indeed, Idealist etc. Posting jobs, responding to and reaching out to candidates.

  • Schedule, advertise, host, and record attendance for internal staff growth opportunities

    Salary and Benefits:

    $21.63/Hour

Created under the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007, PSLF allows borrowers who work full time for nonprofits and government agencies to have their outstanding debt forgiven tax-free on Federal Direct Loans, after making 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan.

    Qualifications

    Ability to work independently with a high amount of personal accountability, but also function seamlessly as a member of a team; great time management and attention to detail; is able to be discreet and confidential; is an expert communicator and creative writer; is a people person with excellent interviewing skills; is flexible and adaptable; has knowledge of labor laws

    Education and Work Experience

    Bachelor’s degree with a major in creative writing, communications, human resources or related field preferred, or equivalent applied experience with a high school diploma or G.E.D. At least 6 months of previous internship or work experience in recruitment required, one year of experience preferred. Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
