Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, Product Managers within Aladdin Product Management (APM) work closely with Aladdin developers, business stakeholders and clients to innovate, conceptualize, design and pilot new capabilities to simplify our clients’ business problems.
This specific role sits within Aladdin Studio, which is a platform that enables clients to build on top of Aladdin, bringing together the APIs and integration tools needed to quickly build scalable solutions. Whether you are a professional engineer building new workflow applications, a code-curious portfolio manager customizing investment insights, or a data analyst automating reporting, Aladdin Studio provides all the tools and resources clients need to transform business.
Job Description:
As an API Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end developer experience of our API products within Aladdin Studio, with a particular focus on the API developer portal including multi-tenancy, API try-out and other features, and comprehensive user guides and documentation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support, to ensure our APIs and experience meet the needs of developers and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
API Developer Portal Management:
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the API developer portal.
Ensure the portal provides an intuitive and seamless experience for developers – from prospecting use-case to post go live experience.
Continuously improve portal features based on user feedback and industry best practices.
Define and implement multi-tenancy components in Studio to support diverse customer needs, spanning across APIs, Data and developer tools.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robust and scalable multi-tenant solutions.
Drive strategy and execution of enabling Studio powered API developer portal for multiple business units within BlackRock
Developer Experience:
Gather and analyze client developer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall developer experience.
Advocate for the developer community and ensure their needs are met.
Drive Studio experience required for partner eco-system strategy.
User Guides and Documentation:
Drive next gen AI-first search and discovery experience a top comprehensive user guides and documentation for all API products.
Ensure documentation is clear, concise, and accessible to developers of all skill levels.
Work with technical writers and subject matter experts to produce high-quality content.
Collaborate with Studio product marketing team to build use-case focused thematic product pages and marketing collateral.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably with a focus on APIs as product.
Strong understanding of API technologies, developer portals, and multi-tenancy.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Passion for creating exceptional developer experiences.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$162,500.00 - USD$215,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
