Description
Our client, a boutique commercial litigation law firm in lower Manhattan, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to add to their team!
• Assists attorneys in proofreading and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Performs e-filing at the state and federal level.
• Assists in trial preparation for multiple partners at the firm including creating electronic and hardcopy files for court. (Currently assisting in two current trials)
• Conducts legal research and prepares memos.
• General complex commercial litigation process
• Understands the basics – don’t need to be a superstar. Understanding how the court works, court filings work, and the basics.
Requirements
• Have good judgment
• Boutique law firm preference vs. big law.
• Court filings, trial preparation, and reviewing documents.
• Growth potential – take over the trainings, managing cases, etc.
• Teamwork mentality
• Travel may be required for trials. Expenses will be covered. no out of pocket expenses.
• Someone who will go beyond their regular hours.
• Minimum of 3 years experience
