Insight Global Nurse Practitioner in New York, New York
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Nurse Practitioners (NP) to service one of our healthcare clients small clinic local to in NYC. This person will be working with a small staff of one medical assistant, an RN and themselves providing care to the patients at the client site. Responsibilities include: Minor in-office procedures and testing: COVID testing (Rapid/PCR), Strep Throat, Influenza or Mono POCT testing, Splinter removal, Urinalysis/HCG testing and analysis, knowledge of preforming phlebotomy (MA on staff can perform phlebotomy but may need to occasionally preform if she is not available in office), administering nebulizer, and reading EKGs. Cerumen impaction removal, Eye care (eye wash available in office for foreign body), STD testing, referrals to appropriate physicians for preventative care, wound care (minor burns, cuts, blisters), evaluating acute musculoskeletal injuries and splinting minor injuries (wrist, fingers). Ability to evaluate, diagnosis, and prescribe treatments of acute care to patients. Administer vaccinations (TDAP, travel vaccines upon request), allergy shots (working collaboratively with patient's allergist) and educating patients regarding aftercare.

Skills and Requirements
Must hold relevant certifications and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
NP: Hold Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
Strong diagnostic skills
Demonstrate empathy and effective communication with patients
Minimum 1 year experience as an autonomous provider null
