WTW Insurance Product Lead - Neuron in Boston, Massachusetts

Within our Risk and Brokering Insurance Consulting and Technology team , we are setting out to revolutionize the way the global Insurance market conducts its business today, to create more efficient ways of working and a better solution to placing risk, reducing costs and transforming the way we operate in the broker- insurer value chain. We will deliver this by building digital journeys that;

  • Optimize placement of risk

  • Provide the opportunity to access new markets and capital

  • Utilize data to understand and influence competitive pricing

  • Leverage the full suite of capabilities within WTW

  • Provide a service that delivers connectivity for brokers to insurers as well leverage the opportunity within the market through many to many connectivity (brokers and insurers)

The Role

Working as part of a team to establish a new way of Digital Trading within the Global Insurance Industry, you will work collaboratively with the Head of Product and your peers to support both the set up and subsequent rapid growth journey of a new part of WTW, winning new customers and expanding into new markets internationally.

As a Product Manager, you will be involved in the definition and development of the Neuron product working alongside customers, designers, Engineering Managers and Architects, to shape, define and prioritize a backlog features, user stories to deliver outcomes for customers and the business.

This role will be focused and responsible for building and scoping the commercial insurance proposition within the US. There is a key requirement for this role to be US based. Preferably in either Chicago, Atlanta or New York. The role will be working closely with our US Chief Commercial officer based in the US and the team we are setting up there.

Responsibilities

  • Building clear KPIs for the projects in your area, driving an understanding of which KPIS are addressable and which aren't, linking to the product roadmap

  • Showing evidence in creating hypothesis and validating problems and solutions before investing in them.

  • Managing the end-to-end process through scoping to execution focused on the right outcomes. Working with developer's day in day out.

  • Working with the Delivery Manager to drive timely delivery of tightly scoped solutions.

  • Scoping required work, writing tickets and ensure it executed to scope, time and cost, calling out risks and issues early.

  • Driving how the feature will go to market and help with the training and onboarding of this, creating a narrative for each project/feature, working in collaboration with Commercial and marketing teams.

  • Actively defining shared approaches or frameworks that can raise the bar across multiple teams

  • Leading structured and effective methods for discovery and synthesizing and quantifying customer feedback.

  • Building customer research pools and managing/creating effective relationships with clients

  • Measuring and leading decisions between impactful and urgent problems and using data and insights to proactively generate large impact projects.

Requirements

  • Experience within the Commercial Insurance sector within the US Market

  • Experience in B2B within the financial markets with large scale enterprises

  • Experience in building API products and services.

  • Proven record of leading the creation of KPIs and ensuring there are ways to measure this.

  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful products against KPIs

  • Proven ability to show the return of investment against projects and features, bringing a commercial mindset to the proposition.

  • Proven record of creating clarity from complexity and managing/messaging out to stakeholders.

  • Proven evidence of managing end to end delivery from identifying pain points to delivering to customer

  • Linking outcomes and KPIs to a delivery plan and roadmap and driving the velocity of delivering this.

  • Running and managing PI planning session

  • Strong technical background working with developers, leading a pod of developers, designers and Architects.

  • Proven record of a deep understanding of customers’ needs and showing continuous discovery

  • Ability to scan new technologies and market trends pushing Neuron’s proposition to gain further market share.

  • Ability to interact with sales, marketing, research, and finance teams to gain knowledge about customers and their influencers

  • Ability to research the market to identify unmet needs

  • Ability to develop messaging based on the positioning

  • Ability to launch and distribute products to the market

  • Ability to drive customer adoption of those products

Other desirable skills are:

  • Strong experience in building data products

  • Experience of working with artificial intelligence to create solutions for pain points

  • Experience working within the commercial insurance market

  • Scaling a product globally

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
