JPMorgan Chase Managing Director, Human Resources Business Advisor, Talent and Employee Experience in New York, New York

The Talent & Employee Experience (EX) organization is building the employee experience of the future and is comprised of six components: Channels, Help, Talent, Operations, Workforce Data and Advisory. We've transformed this organization by adopting a segmented service delivery model which will enable us to deliver more cohesive, frictionless and personalized experiences, as all relevant functions will work together seamlessly within each segment. Segmenting our population involves dividing the workforce into distinct groups based on specific customer characteristics and needs. Additionally, we will have firmwide Service Delivery teams that focus on specific employee profiles, and all will be strengthened by innovative, redefined talent products, powered by data

We are looking for a Managing Director level Human Resources (HR) Business Advisor to lead the HR agenda for the Talent and Employee Experience (EX) organization. This role reports to the Head of HR for Human Resources, Risk and Compliance and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The successful candidate will work closely with senior HR, Talent and EX leadership to define the overall strategic direction. This role will be a key contributor to the HR strategy across the firm, including shifting the way we work and delivering an inventive employee experience.

Role Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Strategic leader - work with senior leaders and Talent and EX teams to create the workforce of the future by understanding the business deeply and leveraging our HR products to drive business outcomes; help implement new HR products and workforce experience strategies, including AI and digitally enabled HR

  • Communication and Engagement - Be a listening post to advise business leaders and provide feedback into HR Products

  • Trusted advisor - Act as a conduit between HR, and Talent/EX leadership to advise senior stakeholders on how to drive transformation including redesigning work, automation and digital strategies.

  • Employee Experience champion - play a leadership role in co-designing and creating the tools and roadmaps for employees to do their best work; co-create digital experiences employees love across the moments that matter

  • People Agenda leader - enable organizational evolution in the Talent and EX organization by effective influencing of talent management and development plans to help clients with workforce planning, new skilling, talent and diversity strategies, leadership development, performance management, change management and beyond

  • Exceptional stakeholder manager - strong executive composure, relationship management and communication skills with the ability to work with top leaders across the organization. Coach and get involved in complex people matters

  • Operator at scale - ability to drive outcomes at scale including executive accountability across Talent and EX

  • Data fluency - Interpret metrics to drive outcomes and ensure leadership performance. Translate data and insights into action and lead implementation within the Talent and EX organization

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

  • 15+ years of Human Resource or transformational people leadership experience

  • Knowledge of full range of people practices and how to apply them to an organization that is shifting to a customer focused operating model: goal setting, performance assessment and improvement, compensation practices, talent review and talent management, workforce planning, reductions in force, manager development.

  • Ability to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills regularly to identify issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause.

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and technical skills that enable individual to leverage data to create Human Resource strategies that support and launch business results.

  • Ability to navigate a global matrix organization and partner on issues across HR and the business.

Base Pay/Salary

NY $250,000.00 - $450,000.00 / year
