Who we are looking for…
HCG is excited to welcome a Senior Manager within the Growth & Communications Group within HCG . This position will be hybrid or office-based in New York.
The position will report to the assigned member of the Growth & Communications (G&C) Leadership.
The Senior Manager will be assigned to agreed G&C workstreams in line with the evolving needs of the G&C Group. The Senior Manager may work on numerous workstreams or parts of workstreams. C&G team members may also be rotated across C&G workstreams for greater personal and group experience and learning and support the C&G Manager’s career progression.
The Senior Manager will also provide training, mentoring and onboarding support to managers, associate managers and assistant managers and coordination and leadership support to agreed operational initiatives across the C&G Group.
The main C&G workstreams in which the senior manager will own could span Client Marketing, Corporate Communications, Client Acquisition, and Business Development work.
What You Will Do…
Primary assigned workstreams will include, but not limited to:
Client marketing and corporate communications
Supporting the execution of client marketing and corporate communications plans across HCG
Pitch project management
To lead the project management of the development of a pitch, working in close collaboration with the appointed Pitch Lead and with a multidisciplinary pitch team
Additionally, the following areas of responsibilities of the role irrespective of assigned workstream:
Workstream Management (as per assigned workstreams)
Mastery of workstream management
Process and SOPs development to support workstream goals and strategy
Report development and maintenance to provide clear, concise and current status of workstreams and progress against goals
Systemize and drive efficiency into workstream processes and activities
Auditing and highlighting workstream areas for development and implementation of improvements
Project Leadership
Project initiation, scoping and architecture in liaison with C&G Lead
Lead Timeline development & background research and analysis
Project team management & coordination
Stakeholder communication (meetings, actions etc.)
Project measurement and reporting in liaison with C&G Lead
Recommendations for project improvement
Provide advice and support for projects managed by managers and associate/assistant managers
Group Initiatives
Start supporting C&G leadership with training, mentoring and onboarding support to managers, associate managers and assistant managers
Begin to provide coordination and leadership support to agreed operational initiatives across the C&G Group to support the C&G Leads
Data Management
Accurate, current and compliant data management and storage
Management of spreadsheets and C&G systems (e.g. SalesForce, NB pipeline reporting)
Communications
Demonstrate mastery in written and oral communications, working closely with a broad range of stakeholders in and beyond the C&G Group, varying in seniority, discipline and geography including but not limited to C&G Group team members, HCG/agency leadership, HCG Engagement Group, selected third parties, clients.
Coordinate face-to-face and virtual meetings with support from associate/assistant managers or managers
Develop/co-develop with C&G leads meeting agendas; to develop and disseminate contact/action reports from meetings
Keep accurate and current workstream status reports (workbook)
Support the C&G Lead in the development of management reports
Financial Management
Partner with the Finance team to provide accurate understanding of HCG investments to C&G leadership by:
Developing projected estimates of costs ahead of internal projects
Monitoring costs during project execution
Reporting estimate updates and actuals, as needed during projects and after completion.
Developing and sharing internal reports in liaison with C&G Lead to C&G leadership and applicable teams
Qualifications and Skills for the Position
2-5 years of relevant experience in marketing and/or communications, preferably within the healthcare industry
Experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications initiatives and projects
Familiarity with pharmaceutical/biotechnology drug development, commercialization, procurement and marketing
Demonstrated ability to manage projects within multi-functional teams and collaborate across disciplines to achieve results within aggressive timelines
Demonstrated ability to execute business acquisition processes under the guidance of BD Head
Professionalism, maturity, ability to work collaboratively, working to high standards under strict timelines
Strong listening skills with curiosity to ask questions, a keen problem solver and passionate about results
BA/BS in communications, marketing, life sciences

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. This range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of the Healthcare Consultancy Group in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including, but not limited to, professional and academic experience, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
