The Offers Eligibility leads the tier 1 services responsible for determining which offers a customer should be presented with upon signing up for Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+. We are in the critical path of all purchase flows and in the beginning of a user’s journey into Disney Streaming’s subscription services This team is based out of the Santa Monica, New York, Seattle and San Francisco offices and you will be a key Engineering leader helping drive the growth of the team. You will have an opportunity to learn about the international landscape and challenges in the area of billing, payments, subscriptions, offers, promotions and price change management. You will drive automation and optimization for all the current processes used by Commerce Operations and have a huge impact in the operational efficiency for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the technical vision and evolution of the applications owned by the team.

  • Lead architectural and design discussions to help the team build efficient and optimized workflows for configuration driven applications

  • Work with Product Managers, Product Designers, QA, Support and other cross-functional teams to drive the vision and roadmap for the team.

  • Lead and strengthen the team by hiring and retaining top engineering talent.

  • Participate in Agile methodology and SCRUM processes such as Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming, Daily Standups and Retrospectives with the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 + years of related work experience, with 2 years of direct people management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven success working on complex workflows and systems to drive efficient processes.

  • Experience working with cloud based deployments.

  • Experience working with consumer facing and high scale systems

  • Experience hiring top engineering talent and making tough decisions.

  • Strong partner and communicator with ability to articulate the team vision and technical concepts to cross-functional partners.

  • Ability to take decisions in ambiguous situations and a fast paced environment withconstantly changing business needs.

  • Excellent motivator driving influence and high efficiency from the team.

  • Passionate about engineering best practices and leading by example.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in Offer Management, Billing, Payments or Subscriptions domain.

The hiring range for this position in New York is $172,300 - $231,100 per year, and in Seattle, WA and $172,300- $231,100per year, and in Santa Monica, CA is $164,500- - $220,600, and in San Francisco is $180,200-241,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered
