Role Summary:

We are seeking a talented HR Systems Manager to join our dynamic People Analytics and Reporting team at NBCUniversal. Our team is dedicated to uncovering valuable insights about our workforce and providing essential analytical and reporting support to maintain NBCU as an exceptional workplace where individuals can thrive.

The HR Systems Manager will play a crucial role in our organization by overseeing our People Analytics and Reporting systems and the team that supports them. This role will collaborate with our IT team to deliver solutions for our HR end-users, ensuring easy access to data and insights. Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and maintain expertise in systems (SAP HCM, Business Objects, Power BI, and Snowflake), processes, diverse NBCUniversal employee populations and security to enable accurate reporting and analysis

  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure execution on team deliverables and team growth

  • Serve as liaison between IT and HR, translating technical standards and requirements into solutions that resonate with and address business requirements

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of HR and People data, ensuring accurate and consistent data insights through effective data modeling

  • Collaborate with IT, project managers and team members on system upgrades

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with Business Unit HR client groups, Finance, Legal, Compliance, etc. and with our parent company, Comcast

  • Provide back-up support for analysts for reporting/dashboards and system management including troubleshooting and testing

  • Maintain governance and operational standards, practices and processes that sit across people analytics and reporting (e.g. report requests, security, etc.)

  • Adhere to NBCU data privacy and protection standards in the management of confidential and sensitive data

  • Evaluate People Analytics and Reporting system usage and reporting requests to identify areas of improvement and provide leadership updates

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, psychology, or other related degree with a focus on data analysis or critical thinking

  • 4+ years of experience in managing systems, data handling and data modeling

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing BI visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Visier, Domo, etc.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team

  • Experience with HR Data Systems

  • Knowledge of HR processes, practices, and organizational models

  • Proven ability to compile and analyze data

  • Ability to set reporting expectations for requestors regarding access, data, and structures

  • High attention to detail; ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Ability to facilitate requests end-to-end while effectively communicating with relevant business groups

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of data

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain data and metrics to non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrates decision-making skills and ability to use professional judgement

  • Customer-oriented individual with problem solving skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability in performing work duties

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
