Wolters Kluwer Lead Product Software Engineer - Java in New York, New York

This role is Hybrid from Wolters Kluwer West Babylon, NY or New York, NY offices

Join our DXG Platform Engineering team as a Lead Product Software Engineer - JAVA , where you will take ownership of specialized software development tasks. In this role, you will:

  • Independently execute advanced coding and system design.

  • Optimize software solutions to enhance product performance and usability.

  • Drive technological innovations and ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will report directly to the Director of Product Software Engineering and play a key role in shaping our cutting-edge software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine and define intricate design specifications and details.

• Lead the design and architecture of innovative software applications that address challenging business requirements.

• Supervise and mentor information technology personnel, providing guidance to enhance their skills and productivity.

• Document highly technical specifications or requirements, providing clear guidelines for the development team.

• Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract valuable insights from project data, influencing software specifications and requirements.

• Lead efforts to optimize software programs at a high level, achieving significant improvements in performance and efficiency.

• Develop comprehensive and sophisticated testing routines and procedures, ensuring thorough software testing.

• Prepare and analyze complex data sets, providing valuable insights to inform software development decisions.

• Offer advanced technical support for software maintenance, usage, and issue resolution, supporting other team members and stakeholders.

• Identify and assess information technology project resource requirements, including personnel and infrastructure.

• Implement advanced monitoring systems to ensure real-time performance evaluation and proper operation of computer systems.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.

  • 7 plus years of proven expertise in leading the design and development of enterprise systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of Java concepts and related languages such as XML, Python, and Scala.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a primary lead in delivering high-end services within enterprise architectures.

  • Hands-on experience with SSDLC processes and a strong background in working within diverse team environments.

  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $145,500 - $203,900
