Field Operations Landscape Designer in New York, New York

Job Duties: Participate in all phases of landscape architectural projects including conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and assistance with oversight of project construction. Specifically,●Conduct preliminary study and analysis of landscape architectural projects by gathering and analyzing information including economic and environmental studies;●Compile and analyze data of site conditions regarding land use, site context, soil, vegetation, drainage, and location of structures for design preparation;●Translate landscape design and planning concepts into clear and compelling graphic images;●Prepare 2D drawings, computer-generated 3D modeling, physical study models, renderings, detail documentation, and other presentation materials during all phases of work, using software and tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, as well as Adobe Creative Suite containing Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign;●Assist in selecting appropriate materials and in determining the required quantities for use in landscape design projects and conduct innovative material research as needed;●Interface with clients in recommending the most appropriate design solutions, addressing durability, budgets, schedules, and landscape architectural appropriateness;●Present design proposals to clients and other stakeholders, explaining design intents, materials, and features, and soliciting feedback to refine the design as needed;●Collaborate with urban designers, architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors to create integrated and sustainable solutions to complex design and planning problems;●Stay current on zoning and building codes, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements and modify designs as necessary to meet various governmental agencies’ requirements;●Incorporate sustainable design practices to minimize environmental impact and enhance ecological functions;●Provide design alternatives requiring site plans, site sections, 3D digital massing and physical site modeling;●Perform other job duties as assigned including assisting with preparation of bid documents/specifications, obtaining permit/jurisdictional approvals, responsible for design schedule and quality and completing inspection reports for project.Job Requirements:●Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field, plus 2-year working experience as a Landscape Designer or similar positions.●The 2-year working experience in using 2D/3D digital modeling tools including Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) are required. ●License is not required.

Minimum Salary: 85000 Maximum Salary: 100000 Salary Unit: Yearly
