Aerotek Junior Electrician in New York, New York

Job Title: Electrical Mechanic

Job Description

We are hiring Electrical Mechanics to work on large scale commercial and residential job sites throughout NYC. We are also hiring Junior Mechanics and Apprentices - Welcome to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints for electrical layouts.

  • Perform conduit bending and installation for EMT, Galvanized, and Ridged conduits.

  • Install switchgear, mount boxes, and panels.

  • Pull wire and rough in MC and BX cable.

  • Handle Lutron lighting packages, risers, and lighting installations.

  • Install outlets, wiring, and electrical devices.

  • Ensure compliance with NEC code and safety standards.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical construction experience

  • Proficiency in conduit bending and installation

  • Knowledge of EMT, Galvanized, and Ridged conduits

  • Experience with switchgear installation

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Knowledge of NEC code

  • Mechanics must have 8+ years of relevant experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • SST 10 certification

  • OSHA 30 certification

Work Environment

The work will be conducted in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Working hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a half-hour lunch break. The environment is safety-oriented, requiring PPE at all times, and uses mobile clock-in codes for timekeeping.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00
