Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Job Description
Utilize advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC units, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance, and complete maintenance and repair records as required.
Responsibilities
Perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs.
Procure necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks.
Maintain an energy management program to ensure systems operate efficiently and minimize operating costs.
Perform welding and brazing tasks as needed.
Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.
Coordinate work and assign tasks when necessary.
Monitor building system operations and performance under limited supervision.
Essential Skills
HVAC Commercial Experience
Experience with Daikin VRF and VRV systems
EPA Universal Certification
Driver's License
Knowledge of HVAC Theory
Experience with refrigeration, preventative/corrective maintenance, and commercial refrigeration
Facilities maintenance and repair skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
EPA 608 Certification
Universal CFC Certification (preferred)
Additional certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, and process controls
Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions
OSHA 30 Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Work Environment
Work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility for evenings and weekends. Be prepared to work outdoors and have commercial HVAC experience. Must reside in NYC (5 Boroughs).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
