The Role
The Human Resources Compliance Manager serves as a strategic subject matter expert working closely and collaboratively with the Legal and HR teams on guiding and directing HR policy and implementing legal obligations and requirements. This is a u nique opportunity to help build and maintain a H uman R esou r ces compliance program in a company with a diverse global workforce. In addition to leading HR Compliance, t his position will serve as a key collaborator and contributor to overall company policies, processes, and procedures. We will support hybrid work for this role, ideally being based out of our New York City office.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the HR, Diversity , Equity, Inclusion, Business and Legal teams to m aintain systems, published policies , procedures, processes and required posters to ensure compliance with federal, state / provincial and local employment laws and regulations in all countries where we operate
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law .
- Conduct detailed compliance assessments for new locations . Contribute to integration activities for mergers, acquisitions , entity employee transfers and entity integrations
- Analyze new or revised employment laws and regulations against TT's current policies to determine the impact to the company . Research and recommend new policies and /or revis ion to existing policies as needed
- Conduct reviews of data to identify trends, patterns and insights, applying critical thinking to interpret data, determine the significance of results, draw meaningful conclusions and provide actionable insights
- Maintain a log for policy, procedure, and handbook updates including archived documents, communications regarding requests and approval for document updates
- Provide guidance to internal TT team members on compliance matters such as offer letters , communications , intranet content, etc.
- Respond to requests for compliance related data, including annual and quarterly reporting requirements ( OFCCP/ Affirmative Action, EEO, Vets) and responses to the business for vendor management and Requests for Proposal
- Project facilitation of regional and global projects, including detailed and time-bound project plans, ensuring internal teams are aligned, timeline management and responsibility for communication
- Provide input on supporting documentation such as manager and employee communications, FAQs, and standard operating processes.
- Manage and deliver reports that ensure transparency for the Senior Management and HR leadership team.
Requirements
- Significant k nowledge of and hands-on experience with employment laws, workforce data and employment policies, along with excellent project management and problem- solving skills are essential . W e don't expect you to know all laws in all locations, but to have the ability to research and the tenacity to find the answer.
- S trong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated self-motivation with a strong work initiative and attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Ability to balance work ing collaboratively with the s elf-motivation to work independently as projects and priorities shift
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and reports is preferred; Workday is a plus
- Experience working in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction industry is preferred
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is$110,000-$140,000annually.This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation.Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted byNew YorkEqual Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
