JPMorgan Chase Human Resources Business Advisor - Executive Director in New York, New York

HR Advisory

  • Develop and drive the end-to-end Human Resources (HR) strategy based on business priorities including identification, development and retention of talent

  • Build a strong relationship with the management team, consulting proactively and frequently to drive relevant HR strategies that align to business and market requirements and challenges

  • Partner effectively with regional and global Line of Business HR Business Advisors; advising them on policies, procedures and practices

  • Play a key role in planning and executing on restructuring plans, performance matters, transfers, etc.

Operational Effectiveness

  • Analyze HR trends and data to make recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Help drive alignment and optimization of the HR operating model and digital solutions, both for HR and employees/managers.

  • Establish and measure key people metrics, aligned with business goals through quarterly scorecards, and other key data via Workforce Analytics.

Compliance Risk and Controls

  • Comply with local laws and regulations; interact with regulators; and complete regulatory submissions

  • Ensure standard operating processes and controls for key HR processes are in place and signed-off

  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Audit, HR Risk & Controls, and HR Regulatory change management and controls.

  • Provide HR insight and support on ER, conduct & litigation matters if/as appropriate

Experience Portfolio / HR Product engagement

  • Partner with Total Rewards on ensuring competitive and relevant local market comp and benefits

  • Partner with the Talent Development function to build and drive the development and leadership agenda. Drive cross-lines of Business talent reviews and succession plans as appropriate

  • Understand the drivers of employee engagement and facilitate discussions and location-wide analysis to understand and influence change to the work environment.

  • Build Diversity and Inclusion metrics/plan and act as a proactive member of / advisor to the Business Resource Group

Projects and Initiatives

  • M&A Human Resources due diligence in partnership with Product teams as needed. .

  • Answer internal requests for information from HR, Compliance, Legal. Third Party Oversight (TPO)

HR Team Management

  • Provide operational oversight, career and development advice

  • Provide input on staffing decisions, performance development (written reviews), talent reviews, promotion meetings and compensation planning

  • Drive culture, conduct and collaboration well as manage team Employee Opinion Survey

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of human resources experience

  • Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines

  • Negotiation skills & conflict management skills - ability to mediate, negotiate and facilitate differences amongst diverse stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead and manage teams across businesses in a matrixed environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and influencing skills and the ability to establish strong relationships with Line of Business Executives, HR Business Advisors and Various HR global teams

  • Excellent communication and cultural awareness skills

  • Strategic thinker and pragmatic problem solver who is able to connect the dots, anticipate issues, and develop succinct recommendations and implementation plans

  • Exceptional consulting, negotiation, coaching and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess situations

  • Demonstrated ability to create a strong risk, control and conduct mindset across a matrixed functional team

  • Ability to manage significant change agendas
