As a Graphics Associate Producer for Weekend TODAY, you will be responsible for preparing graphics, pitching, developing, writing and editing features.
Responsibilities:
Prepare graphics for live news program
Produce weekly franchise segment news content, primarily for broadcast; including research, interviews, writing & editing scripts, overseeing tape edits
Pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team
Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments
At least 2 years of editorial experience working in news production, preferably at the network level with morning television and/or short-format storytelling
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Previous experience with Graphics orders and Graphic Editorial decision making
Must have live control room experience and able to shoot + edit
Strong journalistic writing and research skills, as well as editorial judgment
Must be willing to work Wednesday-Sundays and can work flexible hours especially weekends, overtime, nights, holidays -- often with short notice.
Can be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
Flexible with learning additional skills and other production responsibilities
Willing to work in NYC
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
Previous experience with DALi, Template Farm, and/or Vizrt
Experience working with Photoshop
A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
Experience working with Media Central, iNews and editing software
Strong storytelling ability
Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices
Familiarity with social media

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
