Facebook Global Security Investigations Manager, Insider Protection in New York, New York

Summary:

Our Global Security organization is comprised of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. Our mission is to keep the things that we value safe and secure while protecting the people, assets, and reputation of Facebook. We protect the people of Facebook by creating a safe and secure environment for our culture to flourish. From buildings and servers, to prototypes and ideas, we ensure Facebook’s physical and intellectual assets are safe and secure and make informed decisions to protect Facebook’s reputation. The Global Security Investigations Manager, Insider Protection leads and resolves internal and external global investigations including but not limited to Insider Threat, Threats Against People, Missing Persons/KRE, Property Crimes, Fraud, Counterfeiting, Data Center Incidents and Supply Chain/IP Loss Incidents. Responsible for performing day-to-day case management and investigations with the goal of preventing, detecting, detering, and responding to threats of all kinds related to insider placement and access. Enhance the Insider Protection Program’s framework, policies, standard operating procedures, technology, governance, and reporting through the deployment of reactive investigations, proactive wellness outreach, and awareness education. Act as a conduit between the business enterprise and the Global Security Intelligence and Investigations Team creating and enabling the processes to ensure that all areas of the enterprise receive valuable and timely service. Demonstrate strong threat investigation/insider threat underpinning as well as possessing sound judgment and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure the best possible outcome in a rapid environment.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead and assist in the investigation of all incidents involving insider threats.

  2. Initiate and influence programs to reduce overall risk associated with insider threats to Facebook's people, assets and reputation across the designated region/function.

  3. Collaborate with business partners to identify and address programmatic solutions to insider threats.

  4. Participate in investigations relating to red flags and deviations from acceptable use.

  5. Develop and maintain a convergence model of insider threat mitigation leveraging traditional technical investigative tools such as User Behavior Analytics (UBA) and non-traditional non-technical tools to proactively identify instances of insider threat.

  6. Partner with appropriate business partners to establish a framework to manage risk while reducing exposure.

  7. Support an environment of Protecting People, Assets and Reputation through incident prevention, intelligence sharing, and incident resolution.

  8. Leverage and partner with Legal, HR, and InfoSec to identify solutions for identifying, protecting, and preventing insider threats.

  9. Provide security-related metrics for executive-level dashboards and presentations.

  10. Lead a global team of world-class investigations professionals. Drive a respectful team culture centered on open communication, sharing, listening, feedback, and recognition of team members at all levels.

  11. Develop and maintain strong relationships with other business partners and leaders to effectively support their respective departments.

  12. Follow company procedures and processes as it relates to Global Security best practices and handling of confidential information.

  13. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines to mitigate legal risk.

  14. Appropriately leverage resources, technology, information and tactics in a manner that protects reputation and minimizes risk.

  15. Flexible work schedule including workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of investigations work experience involving insider threat investigations, technical investigations, intellectual property investigations, and/or financial fraud investigations.

  2. 5+ years of leadership experience or serving in roles to influence and support leadership.

  3. 5+ years of years of experience and/or certification in security, cybersecurity, investigations, law enforcement, or counterintelligence roles.

  4. BA/BS in Business, Criminal Justice and/or technical field (or related experience).

  5. Experience working in a heavily regulated privacy environment.

  6. Experience influencing others while cultivating relationships with business partners.

  7. Experience leading, collaborating, and training a global workforce.

  8. Communication skills including the experience communicating effectively across cross-functional teams and build consensus among stakeholders.

  9. Presentation and interpersonal skills.

  10. Experience in completing multiple tasks.

  11. Knowledge of global events and emerging technologies such as blockchain, E2EE, IoT, AR/VR, and 5G.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of investigations work experience involving insider threat investigations, technical investigations, intellectual property investigations, and/or financial fraud investigations.

  2. 10+ years of leadership experience or serving in roles to influence and support leadership.

  3. 10+ years of experience and/or certification in security, cybersecurity, investigations, law enforcement, or counterintelligence roles.

  4. MBA, JD, or MS in Criminal Justice, Information Systems, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, International Affairs, or related field.

  5. Experience in the Intelligence Community, human intelligence, counterintelligence, and collaborating with Intelligence teams.

  6. Professional and technical certifications: CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CPP, CEH, GCIH, GLEG, GCFE, GSTRT.

  7. International experience and/or multi-lingual.

  8. Experience and/or certification in computer forensics.

  9. Active security clearance.
