Goldman Sachs & Company Global Banking & Markets - Public -New York - Analyst - CRE Loan Underwriting in New York, New York

REFG's Capital Markets desk is responsible for the pricing, syndication, securitization, structuring, and risk management components of our CRE loan origination business.

Role Responsibilities

  • Model and value CRE loan level and portfolio cashflows for various executions (Sale, Investment, financing or securitization)
  • Underwrite underlying CRE assets and provide analysis for bidding, syndication and investment committees
  • Support team in evaluating loan investment opportunities, drafting screening memos and investment committee memos
  • Assist in portfolio management and pipeline management of our CRE debt risk
  • Trade and manage derivatives to hedge loan book
  • Assist in P&L reporting, marking, and projections
  • Build and manage client relationships to manage broker, borrower, debt fund and other investment client flows
  • Interface with mortgage sales, structured products syndicate and mortgage secondary trading as well as external partners and CRE loan clients
  • Assist in co-lending negotiation and loan structuring

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant CRE underwriting or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Has interest in the financial markets and/or commercial real estate fundamentals
  • Is detail oriented
  • Has strong interpersonal skills
  • Is able to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Is proactive and can work under tight deadline
  • Is a team player
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
