Job Description: FP&A Manager

How does this role contribute to our collective success?

AXIS is seeking an FP&A Manager to join our Finance team. This role will also provide support to both AXIS Insurance and North America division with particular emphasis on management information, data enhancements and process automation.

What will you do in this role?

  • Prepare and coordinate the monthly and quarterly KPIs in conjunction with the Data and Analytics team

  • Develop a monthly reporting process around our key premium metrics including initiative tracking, new business production, retention, policy in-force counts, pre-bind metrics and rate

  • Compilation, reporting and analysis of monthly production vs. budget and prior year at business unit and planning class levels

  • Co-ordinate monthly reforecasting process of production including key metrics as drivers

  • Support the planning process by coordinating timelines and expectations with business leaders for premium and expense plans

  • Develop plan and forecast processes with the use of key production metrics and scenario analysis around key drivers

  • Prepare various presentations: monthly trading meetings, quarterly results reviews, and plan decks

  • Partner with Business Technology Solutions/Data and Analytics functions to deliver enhancements to key performance indicators to aid forecasting process

  • Assist with systems development, enhancements and data quality controls

  • Prepare other reports and ad-hoc analysis as may be deemed necessary from time to time

About You:

What you need to have:

  • Experience in all aspects of forecasting and accounting for Insurance business involving transactions and systems

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with business partners and underwriters

  • A proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure with ability to respond to changing priorities

What we prefer you to have:

  • An Internationally recognized accounting qualification with at least 5 years of progressive responsibility

Role Factors:

In this role, you will typically be required to:

  • Be in the office 3 days per week

What we offer:

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $150,000 to $175,000 (NY), . Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance. Where this role is based in the United States of America, this role is exempt for FLSA purposes.
