City of New York Fleet Clerical Administration Support in New York, New York

Job Description

  • Provide administrative support to the Fleet Services team by performing clerical and related work.

  • Perform clerical work in relation to records, files, invoices and reports. Performs data entry and data entry review.

  • Answer phones, provide information to internal and external stakeholders, and direct calls.

  • Maintain accurate filing system, check both electronic and paper records for accuracy of information and conformity with policy and procedures.

  • Requisitioning supplies and maintain shop inventory control of stock.

  • Process, record, check and maintain records. Intake and process applications.

  • Oversee the acquisitions and disposal processes; prepare documents for DMV transactions; inputting accurate information and data into computer systems; electronic filing.

  • Work cooperatively with internal departments and divisions to furnish information.

  • Provide support throughout the hiring process, sort applicants, coordinate interviews, assist with compiling hiring documents and processing.

Note: Preference will be given to CIVIL SERVICE BRIDGE EXAM# 3120 passers.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.

Skills Requirement

Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
