The PXP Executive Producer (brand) supports the clients and ideals of their creative lead agency, all under the vision of their Head of Production.

The role of the Executive Producer is to be a craft for the brands to which they are assigned. They are a leader in the department with a focus on craft and precision within execution. Master of craft, creativity and innovation and is a leader within the production community acting as a brand ambassador for PXP and the lead creative agency they support.

Reports to a SVP/Group EP or Head of Production, depending on creative agency department needs & structure.

Primary Responsibilities Overall:

  • Builds strong,trusting relationships with clients.

  • Oversees concurrent projects with multiple work streams and large internal and external teams.

  • Represents a master of craft within the industry that has a proven ability to manage teams of producers across all production disciplines

  • Able to speak knowledgeably about all aspects of talent and advise producers within their group. Partners closely with the Business Affairs Manager to ensure the latest information coming from SAG is communicated to agency team members.

  • Has a deep understanding of lead creative agency’s client’s guidelines and competitive bidding best practices, ensuring all work is produced with creative & client needs in mind.

  • Lends industry expertise and advises producers on selection and negotiation of all outside vendor contracts based on both scope/budget/timeline of project and which vendor is best suited to re-create the creative vision

Talent & Community:

  • Accountable to play a leadership role in contributing to the culture of the Production Department as well as initiating opportunities to educate and inspire both their teams and those around them

  • Responsible for leading our efforts in cultivating a diverse, equal and inclusive culture of production within our work. Responsibilities include leading the lead creative agency’s partnership and commitment to Free the Work and other diversity initiatives and more.

  • Responsible for building critical relationships and maintaining the agency’s reputation and standard of excellence with the internal and external production industry as well as keeping an active knowledge of freelance producer talent and cross-discipline external partners

Innovation:

  • Stays on top of industry trends, craft-makers, techniques, directors, photographers, and new technologies and utilizes expertise and passion for production to inspire and educate the Department and Agency overall in an effort to elevate the creative product

  • Looks to future-proof the account by bringing innovative production capabilities, technology, and tools to build multidisciplinary solutions to a variety of briefs

  • Drives innovation to build production learnings that can solidify the Client's presence as an industry leader in the digital and content space

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred

  • 10+ years in production at a creative agency, production company or similar environment

  • Effective negotiation and positive-minded problem-solving skills required

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment

  • Ability to collaborate with internal co-workers and external clients and vendors at a variety of levels and across functions

  • A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical-thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees

  • Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail

  • Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills

  • After-hours work and overnight traveling on productions may be required

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $121,000 - $204,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. The Company anticipates the application deadline for this job posting will be 02/02/2024.
