Paramount Sr Coordinator, Business and Legal Affairs in New York, New York
We are looking for a Sr Coordinator, Business and Legal Affairs, to join a legal team consisting of seven attorneys and one contract manager based in New York City that provides business & legal support to the business units responsible for distribution of the Paramount portfolio of video programming services, as well as distribution of Paramount streaming products such as Paramount+ and Pluto!
Essential duties and responsibilities may include:
Word processing; tracking and administering the execution of agreements; scanning and profiling agreements into document database; preparing redline versions of agreements; proofreading, emailing, photocopying, faxing and mailing agreements, letters, cover sheets and other documentation; preparing and updating documentation and reports; preparing routine and complex correspondence; handling internal and external document distributions; and proactively maintaining status reports/team calendars.
Organizing and maintaining records and files for centralized legal filing system and individual attorneys office files. Coordinate and administer periodic regulatory and contractual compliance reports.
Providing general administrative support for the team including scheduling meetings, answering and screening telephone calls, prioritizing mail and other communications, processing T&E reports, ordering supplies, arranging office services, coordinating travel and meal arrangements, performing administrative errands.
Assisting with the administration of contract database and records system, as well as the monitoring of contractual and regulatory compliance.
Providing additional support to attorneys as needed, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, memoranda, correspondence and support materials.
Managing multiple assignments simultaneously in a demanding, fast-paced environment; communicating effectively with others verbally and in writing; able to work independently on projects assigned by attorneys.
Assisting in the planning of department events and outings, scheduling and booking conference rooms, coordinating internal and external meetings and responding to facility issues.
Must be able to understand and quickly execute assignments, and to independently follow through on multiple tasks. Quick turnaround time on most assignments required.
Must have the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Basic qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in a legal administrative support capacity strongly preferred
BA or other undergraduate degree preferred
Excellent drafting, analytical and organizational skills
Experience with contracts and legal concepts, knowledge of intellectual property, entertainment, technology, privacy and/or internet law
Experience with legal document management software and redlining software (e.g., Deltaview/Workshare)
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Strong proofreading skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent administrative skills
Detail-oriented, ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous responsibilities within time limits
Highly motivated and resourceful self-starter with excellent organizational and follow-through skills
Proven ability to work in fast paced environment and communicate effectively with client groups
Relevant experience in the media industry is a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $68,000.00 - 86,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
