The Opportunity

Adobe's Product Equity team is seeking a Director of Insights and Community, responsible for defining and driving efforts towards our vision and mission. This role will introduce and scale co-design techniques, develop insights and impact measurement frameworks, and connect historically underinvested and marginalized communities to the teams that build Adobe products. Additionally, this role will be responsible for building and scaling a product equity community of practice for Adobe's employees globally.

What You'll Do

Managing Up and Out:

  • Be a member of the leadership of Adobe Design, collaborating with peer leaders covering the entire Adobe product line to drive equitable product outcomes.

  • Oversee the creation and rollout of measurement frameworks and reporting to executives and stakeholders.

  • Establish and cultivate relationships with peer leaders across Adobe to advocate and advance product equity initiatives and impact.

Supporting Down:

  • Lead and support a team of UX researchers, Product and Program Managers focused on building internal and external community connections.

  • Shepherd cross-organization research initiatives that increase Adobe's understanding of historically underinvested and marginalized communities, infusing insights into product strategy and development.

  • Guide curriculum and L&D strategies that establish and scale Adobe's product development competency and understanding of product equity. Develop (and iterate) measurement of learning outcomes and impact.

  • Develop research engagement models that build upon reciprocity and co-creation and establish infrastructure and processes to scale.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience and Expertise:

  • 5+ years of equivalent practical experience managing senior IC's and other managers.

  • Proven track record working toward diversity, equity, and inclusion goals on multi-faceted products and projects in a large organization.

  • Proficiency in many forms of human difference, including aging, disability, race, Indigeneity, gender and sexuality, and economic status.

  • Academic grounding in areas such as inclusive design, systems theory, anthropology, cultural studies, sociology, feminist STS, and theories of social change.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with research and design methods such as ethnography, Participatory Action Research, and co-design.

  • Able to work with several teams and roles in parallel, establishing relationships and alliances across teams and initiatives both inside and outside the company.

  • Extraordinary communication skills through writing, multimedia, and/or presentation.

  • Lead empathetically, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for the design team to do innovative and impactful work.

  • Articulate strategy through solid, strategic presentations.

  • Be an effective facilitator across product-design-engineering teams in early stages of key projects.

  • Deep expertise in strategic problem framing and solving problems.

  • Embody a learner and mentor mentality.

  • Bring the perspectives of your own lived experience to your work every day, coupled with a dedication to allowing other people and their experiences to shine through as well.

About Adobe Design

Adobe Design creates tools that amplify the world's ability to create and communicate. We're a global team of designers, researchers, prototypers, content strategists, program managers, and more who work across Adobe's three product lines: Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $152,800 -- $290,400 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
