The Director, Marketing Analytics and Automation will lead Simon & Schuster's efforts to optimize our marketing initiatives through the strategic use of analytics and automation tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of marketing data

  • Develop and implement analytics to measure the performance of marketing campaigns across media, including social, email, and web

  • Work closely with the corporate marketing and imprint marketing and publicity teams to identify opportunities for growth and process optimization

  • Lead the integration of marketing automation tools with existing systems to streamline marketing processes and personalize consumer experiences

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to design and execute automated marketing campaigns

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools to ensure our marketing strategies remain cutting-edge and competitive

  • Deliver insights and recommendations to inform strategic decisions and measurably drive business growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, data science, or another analytical field

  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of working across teams

  • Experience with marketing automation tools

  • Ability to convey complex insights and actionable recommendations to internal audiences at various levels of experience and seniority

  • 7+ years in marketing and 5+ years in book publishing

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable.
