The Account Director Global Account Leader role will manage the relationship with an most important Global Systemic Financial Institutions and oversee an internationally dispersed team made up of both sales and technical resource direct reports, inclusive of dedicated Enterprise Account Managers, Solution Architects, Customer Solution Managers, who work collectively as a ‘team of teams’ operating as one in support of the customer’s firm wide training and enablement strategy and the migration of applications to AWS.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive strong revenue growth for AWS within the account across all AWS services. Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan for the team. • Drive revenue, increased AWS Service adoption , and migration of applications to AWS. • Drive engagements at the CxO level and with Line of Business Leaders across complex organizations. • Understand and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services to accelerate customer adoption. •Be a people leader who develops and inspires a world-class sales team that engages the major business units of Telco companies, is incredibly customer-focused, partners strongly with internal AWS teams, and consistently hits objectives. • Work with partners (System Integration Partners, Channel Partners, Network Providers, Independent Software Vendors) to extend reach & drive adoption. • Further define and deliver the overall strategy and governance in a growth environment • Prepare and deliver business reviews to the AWS senior leadership team.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading sales teams working with large global customers. • 12+ years of experience in managing multi-national global customers as lead Account and Relationship Manager. • BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field. (MBA preferred) • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hiring a global team. • Experience setting and executing a strategy for a federated enterprise working with multiple business units. • A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS). • Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $224,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $333,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
