Citigroup Director, Data Quality Analytics and Reporting Sr Group Manager (Hybrid) in New York, New York
The Controller System and Data Operations (CSDO) function within Finance Controllers Team is responsible for partnering with the Global Process Owners in Finance to transform the end-to-end Global Operating Model for all Financial Books and Records processes, platforms and results. This is a leadership role within the CSCO Controllers Adjustment Reduction, EUC and Data Initiatives organization responsible for managing a global team that drives data ownership, system ownership, data quality rules and data lineage maintenance, and adherence to data policies and standards for Controllers-owned data.
This role requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the enterprise, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in Data Quality and Reporting and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Responsible for determining and executing functional strategy in area managed. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, stakeholder engagement and contribution to strategic efforts.
Responsibilities:
Serves as a key contributor to future strategy of Data Quality and Reporting initiatives, including data ownership, definition, compliance and lineage
Acts as primary business information owner for Controllers-owned applications
Understands data offerings and data flows across the systems used by Controllers
Drives compliance with Citi Data Governance Policy across Controllers
Manages a variety of broad-based and complex issues requiring conceptual analysis
Applies broad and comprehensive understanding in multiple functional areas as well as underlying enterprise principles to drive solutions
Understands how own function/team integrates within the overall organization to contribute to achieving enterprise objectives; requires a good working knowledge of the industry
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Qualifications:
20+ years of related data/technology program experience, Banking industry and/or Finance function background preferred
Experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs, including identifying and resolving issues; executing against Data Quality strategies and policies
Strategic mindset, who can plan ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
Communicates effectively, drives consensus and influences relationships at all levels; develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
Able to effectively lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity; Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes
Manages through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations; and demonstrates effective work relationships with business and global function colleagues
Experience creating and being a champion for a positive risk culture that supports sustainable business growth through transparent engagement, a partnership approach, and a no-tolerance approach for behavior that exposes the organization to an inappropriate amount of risk
