Employer: Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Position: Director, Data Engineering (Req #T6225) Location 110 W. 44th St., New York, NY 10036 Duties: Lead multiple engineering teams focused on the most highly complex, cross-functional, and enterprise-level Data engineering solutions to meet critical business needs. Provide direction and oversight of technical teams in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, modules, and stable data or BI engineering solutions. Build a high-quality data engineering organization and design the org to scale. Hire, train, and develop talent for growth opportunities; monitor team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environment. Ensure the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers. Drive data quality across the product vertical and related business areas. Define and manage SLAs for all data sets and processes running in production. Identify enhancements and changes that need to be made in operational applications or business processes to support analytics objectives and collaborate with the application development team to implement these. Manage data engineering projects or the data engineering phase of a larger project when needed. *Supervise Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and QA Analysts. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technological field plus ten years of post-bachelor’s experience. Experience must include: Business analysis such as processes and solutions; Requirements management such as gathering requirements, developing functional and technical specifications, and working with a team to complete objective development and testing; Agile project management; Structure Query Language (SQL); Oracle database platform; Amazon Web Services (AWS); and Snowflake.
