Organizational

The Zenith Competitive Intelligence Team provides advertising intelligence that yields insights resulting in a marketplace advantage for Zenith’s client base. Our goal is to deliver the most accurate, timely and granular competitive media spending reports & analysis to our clients.

Individual

The position of the Competitive Intelligence Director is to act as primary contact for competitive media requests and workflow. We are looking for a strategic thinker who has strong media knowledge and keeps a pulse on industry trends. As a critical member of the team, you will be a day-to-day contributor of helping us contextualize client and competitor business.

Responsibilities

Individual

  • Lead the development, maintenance and evolution of reports based on understanding of our clients’ business needs.

  • Work daily with large sets of complex data.

  • Think and write in a logical flow; present and defend analysis and methodologies.

  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies (problem-solving).

  • Familiar with media measurement methodologies.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and can managing multiple client workstreams.

  • Confidence in speaking to data, trends, and research to a variety of audiences.

  • Leverage industry research and news to provide competitive team POVs.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Confident in navigating conversations with senior leadership (internally and externally).

Organizational

  • Own and create client relationships, act as client “go-to”.

  • Write and present research analysis with an understanding of media plans/budgets.

  • Build and foster relationships with internal stakeholders (i.e., strategy, analytics, advertising operations, investment, etc.).

  • Manage vendor relationships.

Team

  • Manage/train competitive junior staff (on-shore and off-shore) across a variety of tools and processes.

  • Supervise workflow to guarantee timely and accurate project deliveries.

  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to ensure growth.

  • Guide team in setting goals and professional development.

  • Encourage proactive thinking across competitive team.

  • Foster a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of media experience (agency, vendor, research, data, measurement, etc.).

  • Expert in PowerPoint (slideware creation) and Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, commands, etc.).

  • Proficient in business writing and public speaking.

  • Experience with Kantar/Nielsen competitive reporting tools is a plus.

  • Ability to stand up large-scale data projects using complex data sets.

  • Telecom/tech experience preferred.

  • Organized, detail oriented. Expects excellence and accuracy.

  • Local media experience is a plus.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $106,500 - $150,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
