Citigroup Deposits Pricing Strategy and Analytics – VP in New York, New York

The Deposit Pricing team within US Personal Banking provides market intelligence, pricing strategy and analytics for Consumer deposit and Small Business deposit products. Core products include Checking, Savings, Money Market and Certificate of Deposit accounts. The pricing team applies a disciplined analytical decision process, and focus on driving profit and market share growth. The Pricing Strategy and Analytics VP is a highly visible position that works on industry leading initiatives with substantial impact to earnings. The individual contributes to the end-to-end pricing management process. Key partners include Product Management, Finance, Treasury, Technology, Operations, Decision Management, Legal, Compliance, Sales and Marketing. May also engage with external consultants and vendors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute deposit pricing strategies in a dynamic test and learn environment; collaborate with partner teams on holistic deposit product and pricing offerings; develop business cases to support pricing recommendations

  • Interpret results of financial models, apply learning in portfolio and acquisition analytics and analyze impacts to determine success of pricing strategy

  • Monitor and report on demand and performance trends for consistency with profitability and growth targets; monitor market share and competitive intelligence; correlate trends with pricing actions; prepare and present materials for pricing committee and other executive audiences

  • Manage/ support pricing and product initiatives and work with product and marketing partners to deliver value proposition promises while maintaining financial targets

Qualifications :

  • Experience with financial service products and/or finance, risk management, product management or marketing analytics with 3-5 years of overall experience preferred; experience with deposit products and financial modeling a plus.

  • Understanding key revenue and expense drivers and financial planning basics Experience utilizing advanced analytics to drive decision-making. Experience managing large quantity of data from various sources.

  • The inherent motivation to provide continuous improvement using both business and analytical acumen; detail oriented and the ability to manage controls and governance routines

  • Strong ability to communicate / present ideas and plans verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to translate technical and complex analytics for business application and non-technical audience.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment while carrying multiple projects at any given time

  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Visual Basic skills. Experience with Tableau or Python preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Degree in quantitative field such as finance, economics, business, MBA, MSA, statistics, applied mathematics, or similar preferred

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
