Required Skills:

Data Scientist, Small Business Group Responsibilities:

  1. Take advantage of massive amounts of structured data to understand how our customers interact with our product and service offerings.

  2. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the experience of businesses on the Facebook family of apps using data science.

  3. Lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of projects from data requirement gathering to data processing, modeling, and recommendations.

  4. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities requiring the use of modern analytical and modeling techniques.

  5. Design and execute experiments (e.g., A/B testing, multi-armed bandit).

  6. Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to business leads and influence strategic decision-making.

  7. Frequently switch between on-the-ground tactical execution and 30k foot strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field and 24 months of experience in job offered or in a data science-related occupation. Foreign equivalent accepted. Requires 24 months of experience in the following skills:

    1. Machine-learning techniques
    1. Relational database (SQL or PL*SQL)
    1. Developing in Python
    1. Statistical analysis using SAS
    1. Quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, and descriptive and inferential statistics
    1. Communicating and presenting results of data analyses.

Public Compensation:

$178,418/year to $196,900/year + bonus + equity + benefits
