Citigroup Data Quality Business Analyst - AVP in New York, New York

The Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of Defence for wholesale lending and counterparty credit risk. ICM partners with businesses Citi-wide to ensure we have best-in-class risk and control capabilities. ICM also plays a key role in Citi’s Transformation efforts by helping to drive a Citi-wide focus on wholesale credit risk management. Through ongoing investment in processes, controls, systems, and governance, ICM continues to further embed consistency and best practices across Citi, driving closer alignment between our business and regulatory goals. The Lending Transformation Program (LTP) is a key initiative within ICM. The goal is to transform the end-to-end wholesale lending process which will consolidate all remediation efforts for loan product processing and establish a consistent target operating model with a focus on improved processes, controls, and enhanced technology to achieve best-in-class processing capabilities to support our client franchise. ICM Lending Transformation is looking for a skilled and dynamic Project Manager as part of the Wholesale Lending Target Operating Model project. Role includes data analytics operating model design, planning and execution, resource management and budgeting, plan tracking, issue identification and escalation, preparation of materials for governance meetings, and internal and regulatory communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data mining and analytics

  • Support the program team to design and implement the multi-year global loan operations target state, covering people, process and integrating technology

  • Support the broader program team, including implementing the interim control model working with Global Loan Operations and Transaction Management

  • Develop and oversee execution of detailed project plans across numerous stakeholder groups

  • Ensure timely project tracking, status reporting and escalation, in line with Citi’s Project Management Standards

  • Establish and deliver project governance including preparation of material

  • Develop and maintain RAID logs and execution trackers and general issue management, with appropriate escalation

  • Partner with 2nd Line Operational Risk Management and Internal Audit to ensure delivery design and execution to the highest standard

  • Oversee program communication including internal stakeholders and regulatory updates / communication

  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders across Citi at all levels, businesses, and locations

  • Appropriately assess risks when making business decisions, using sound ethical judgment, while complying with both Citigroup policy and applicable laws, rules, and regulations

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5+ years’ experience in wholesale lending Loan Operations and/or Transaction Management including project management experience

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive. Awareness of "Smart Brevity" and ability to apply concepts to oral and written communication.

  • Prior experience as a technical project manager on a transformation project

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail

  • Ability to drive change and effectively manage projects and stakeholders

  • Strong organizational leadership and influencing skills

  • Proactive, 'no surprises', approach in communicating issues/requests

  • Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment

  • Strong business analysis, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Keen sense of urgency and eagerness for ownership

  • Works well under pressure and in tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in Excel and other data tools

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$98,960.00 - $148,440.00
