How you'll make an impact:

As a key member of the corporate communications team responsible for developing and executing results-driven media relations campaigns utilizing both traditional and forward-thinking tactics.

What you'll do:

  • Support the broader SiriusXM PR team in communications efforts across the company, with a range of corporate communications activities across brands and a particular focus on technology and advertising.
  • Create and execute communications plans across a variety of different subject areas.
  • Collaborate with teams across divisions, partnering closely with product, tech, sales, programming, marketing, events, and more.
  • Serve as communications advisor, providing communications support to executives across the organization.
  • Generate press releases, executive bios, media alerts, talking points, awards and event submissions, and other communications materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of journalists, proactively working to get the company into important stories and conversations.
  • Coordinate and generate ideas and materials for the company's presence at industry events, working collaboratively across divisions.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining team communications materials.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in communications or media relations
  • Strong communications background
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A team player mentality, willing to take on any task - big or small - on a tight deadline
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects
  • A high level of discretion when handling confidential information
  • Experience working with executives and getting them prepared for speaking or press opportunities
  • Interest in and a deep understanding of the industries and topics of entertainment, media, technology, advertising, DEI, and more
  • A love of audio - music, podcasts, and more!
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $80,000 to $89,225 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
